Established in 1979, Hup Leong Hardware Industry Co was founded by Mr. Teo Boon Kia (Ah Tee) and his friends. Ah Tee’s journey began when he arrived in Singapore from Malaysia at the tender age of 15, determined to carve out a living for himself. Faced with the challenge of finding employment, he was introduced to work as an assistant in a steel company.

Swiftly acquiring the tricks and skills essential to the steel industry, Ah Tee’s entrepreneurial spirit ignited. In collaboration with five friends, he ventured into establishing a steel cutting business in Singapore. However, as ambitions diverged, his friends chose separate paths. Undeterred, Ah Tee persevered, steering the business on his own and cultivating a loyal clientele.

From its modest beginnings, Hup Leong has evolved from a humble factory to a more expansive facility, now equipped with cutting-edge technology such as CNC Plasma Cutting Machines, CNC Oxyfuel Machines, and CNC Fibre Laser cutting machines capable of handling stainless steel plates, mild steel plates, and various other metal plates.

Currently led by a second-generation owner, the company remains committed to upholding traditions and standards of excellence.
